You know that museum that’s a big circle and the library is in the middle and then there’s the stairs that split in two and where they split there’s a statue
and in Doctor Who the Doctor stops and poses by it when they’re rushing around
And they have that really old skeleton in that long room
I know I’ve been there but
Which museum is it?

Laura and I went to the corner shop earlier to buy cake for Shemsa and I accidentally got cake too and there were two cakes sitting on the counter
Man behind the till: “Is it someone’s birthday?”
Laura: “No, we’re just fat.”

I’m watching My Girl and the window is wide open and I’m eating Rolos and I can hear the seagulls outside and it’s lovely weather and yesterday I went to the cinema and saw The Woman in Black and then we got back and Laura and I sat here talking until four in the morning and I only slept for about hmm four hours but was oddly awake at nine anyway and now I’m going to do...

Sweet Lord
Why is it so warm
And why did I ask for next day delivery
When I well know that the accomodation office closes at three and the postman will probably deliver it at two-ish and I won’t be here
It’s very frustrating to not be able to just order something online and have it appear in front of you
Very annoying

WHY AM I STILL NOT WORKING
What does it actually take to make me do my work
I think I’d have to have someone standing behind me with a red hot poker, threatening me with certain death…
And even then, I’d probably find a way to procrastinate.
I have never been much good at self-motivation. Which is why I chose a course centred around independent study, obviously

The London tube is incredibly easy to understand. If you have trouble understanding it, then you are in deep sh*t if you ever try taking the underground in Germany. Still trying to wrap my mind around the NYC system though. Wonder what Paris is like.
Yes! I’ve been on the Moscow underground and...

I genuinely don’t understand why everyone finds the London Underground system so confusing
I mean I can kind of get it but it really is rather easy if you think about it logically
And I didn’t grow up with it or anything
It’s just… the map is pretty simple to follow and they all link up so it’s not like it’s such a disaster if you go wrong
Really I just...

Someone’s fixing a boat or mowing a lawn or hoovering something nearby and the constant quiet vibration of it is driving me insane and giving me a headache

When I was cooking earlier before I’d even started chopping up potatoes and things I realised my finger was bleeding all over the chopping board and I kept trying to wipe the blood away and then it looked like my wrist was bleeding too which it wasn’t that was just me being too lazy to get a tissue for the blood
I put a plaster on and about half an hour later it was all red so I...

I broke my lovely fountain pen (which was a going away to uni gift). The nib’s broken and it’ll cost £33 to replace it. D:
No! That’s saddening. It’s always awful to hear of the loss of a good pen. Replace it with something cheap and wait until your birthday to replace it?

Instead of spending the night working hard and recovering from my cold as I have been promising myself all week
I ended up in Corina’s room discussing truth and religion and the meaning of life with some people I barely even know
Until it all devolved into doing history quizzes on the internet
Now I’m watching Dave Gorman’s Googlewhack and drinking hot chocolate and brandy at...
